Morgan And Weisbrod Sponsor Metrocare 5K

On Saturday, April 11, Metrocare Services held its 3^rd annual Run with Metrocare 5K in Bonner Park in Dallas, Texas. It is Metrocare’s mission to “Serve our neighbors with developmental or mental health challenges by helping them find lives that are meaningful and satisfying.” Metrocare serves more than 50,000 people a year in Dallas County in a variety of meaningful ways.

Morgan and Weisbrod Supports Metrocare’s Mission

To help further Metrocare’s mission and the important services they provide to tens of thousands of individuals throughout Dallas County, Morgan and Weisbrod was a sponsor of the 2015 Metrocare 5K. This family-friendly event was open to individuals of all abilities and helped raise money for many different Metrocare programs.

Some of Metrocare’s programs include:

Adult physical and mental health services. These services include outpatient clinics, community-based programs, housing services, 24 hour emergency services, hospital liaison services, behavior treatment services, pharmacy services, primary health care, rapid assessment and prevention services, and a special needs offenders program.
Adult intellectual developmental disability services. These programs and services support people with autism, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental disorders.
Adult social services. These services include career services, homeless services, housing services, guardianship, and support for military veterans and their families.
Child and adolescent services. Metrocare provides wrap-around services for children with severe emotional or social problems. Their integrated treatment programs occur in schools, daycares, and homes in and around Dallas. They offer therapeutic nursery programs, programs for juvenile offenders, behavioral treatment services, in-home services, and special programs for children from birth to age six.

Metrocare also operates the Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority which determines eligibility for state services for people in Dallas County.

In 2013, Morgan and Weisbrod was a sponsor of Metrocare’s First Annual 5k event.
